Leo's Bris

We had Leo's Bris on Sunday 8-12-12.  We were thankful to have so many friends and family to share the special day with us.  The day before, Shae prepared by making challah:
What a nice braid:

Getting ready (I honestly couldn't tell you what the moyle was saying to us... all I kept thinking was, "I am sorry Leo!!!)
It was a lovely ceremony with traditional blessings as well as his naming.  We chose the hebrew name Aryeh Mordecai.  Aryeh is hebrew for "Lion" which symbolizes strength and courage.  Mordecai is after my maternal great grandfather.  He was a very hard worker and family man who moved to the USA with his family to provide them with a better life.
Dr. Goodman incorporated Teddy into the ceremony as he took the first bite of the challah:

After the ceremony it was time to celebrate with friends and family.
What a good looking family:

Working on Catching Up

If you are reading our blog... please bear with me as I attempt to catch up.  Life with two little ones is much MUCH busier than before, and I am still getting my bearings.  But I am slowly and surely going to update this blog.  I have added several new posts (but cheated and backdated them) so please enjoy, and scroll down to see all of the new posts.  More to come, I promise!

Home Sweet Home

I am very behind on this blog so in my attempt to "catch up" I am just going to post a bunch of pictures with minimal descriptions.
Home with our Leo:
So small:
The Hoscheks:
After taking care of Teddy for a few days this is what Grandpa Bud looks like:
Yes, he fell asleep in on our floor!
Aghigh came to visit the day we brought Leo home:
Only 3 days old and Leo found his thumb!! Guess he wants to be like his big brother:
Being a few days old is very tiring:
Goodnight kiss:
My boys:
Teddy has been awesome so far with Leo.  He loves to check on him and whenever he cries, he is very interested in helping him.  I have overheard him saying, "don't worry Leo, it's OK."  And often he will say to me, "Mommy does he want milk? Does he want his paci?  Does he need a diaper?"  Such a good big brother.
Thankfully Shae was able to take off a full two weeks.  Here we are at the 4 day check up at the pediatrician.  Leo passed with flying colors!
Here I am showing you the position Leo was in most of my pregnancy:
Relaxing....
Thank heavens for little boys:
My cousin Jamie was here on her way back to college and we were so glad she got to meet Leo.  She also helped my mom prepare for the bris and helped a lot with Teddy.  He had a blast playing with her.
Tired boy:
Leo also got to meet his cousins Finley and Harper along with Aunt Shelley and Uncle Matt.  They drove all of the way from Canada to see us:
Something tells me Leo is going to be built just like his big brother.  Check out how this newborn sized outfit fit... or I should say... didn't fit Leo:
(Those are supposed to be shorts).
Outfit change:
Leo's first big outing was to cousin Maggie's birthday party.  Here are the boys ready to go:
Maggie meeting Leo for the first time:
Caroline and Leo:
The Weinsteins came to the party too:
Teddy impressed with his ability to eat a cupcake in record speed:
Aunt Shelley and Leo:
My Aunt Judy sent this amazing quilt she made for Leo.  He is so tiny on it here, but I know we will enjoy this quilt for years to come:
Leo meeting his cousing Maverick.  How did he get so big????
Leo meeting Aunt Sam:
Maverick has grown so much since we saw him last... he is even cuter than before!
Grandma Suzie also made the drive to come meet her newest grandbaby:
The first week with Leo home was a blur- but we are so thankful and blessed to have him in our family!

Welcome Leo

After wondering if I was in labor for several hours, Shae, my parents, and the midwife all convinced me to go to the hospital just in case I was actually having a baby.  It was 3 weeks before the due date and I was in denial that I was going to have a baby.  I was much more concerned about getting to a consignment sale and my brunch plans for the morning.  But once the dr. finally confirmed (after about 4 hours in the hospital) that I was, in fact, in labor... I made myself comfortable:
A quick picture of the parents-to-be:
And then I fell in love with yet another Hoschek boy:

Meet Leo Arthur Hoschek:
He was 7lbs 3 ounces and 19.5 inches long.  He arrived at 4:45pm on 8-4-12.

We called my parents in the middle of the night when we headed to the hospital, and they stayed with Teddy.  They brought him to the hospital to meet his new brother:
