August Fun

In my attempt to "catch up" this blog, here are some highlights from the rest of August.

Brotherly Love:
Leo meets his stuffed lion for the first time:
Sweet baby boy:
Breaking in the new-to-us double stroller (thank you Aunt Mir-mo and Uncle Jamie for passing it down to us).  Only thing lacking- a drink holder:
Sweet Pea:
Taking care of a baby is hard work:
They say you will take less pictures of the second child. Hmmmm... so far not happening with me...
Cutie pie:
I loved having Shae home from work for 2 weeks.  He helped so much!  Not only did he play and spend tons of time with Teddy, help change multiple diapers (big and small), and help prepare meals, but he also helped with some of the chore.  Check out the day he made the bed....
and he thinks we have too many pillows. Hah.

My little lion:
Grandma Judy and her boys:
Grandma and Grandpa took Teddy to the Gibson's house on Maggie's birthday to celebrate with cake.  Teddy and Aunt Mir-mo:
Teddy and the birthday girl (I think he liked the cake!)
Cousins:
One of my friends from the MOMS Club also has a little boy named Leo.  Her Leo is already 4, so she generously passed some of her special baby items down:
(above): This was one of my favorite newborn outfits of Teddy's and one of the only ones Leo was able to wear (since Teddy was born in December all of his little bitty clothes were for winter).
Look at the little baby in the toddler bed:
Two sweet peas:
Love these boys!
Teddy has really been doing well adjusting to being a big brother.  He is a wonderful helper and loves to copy whatever I do with Leo.  I still periodically find him in the nursery with "baby Herbert":
Seems like yesterday that cousin Maverick was wearing this cute onsie:
Awwww:
Wendy and Brian came to meet Leo.  They have a little girl on the way- due in December!
My 20 year class reunion was 2 weeks after Leo was born.  I didn't want to spend $95 on a ticket since I wouldn't be able to stay too long, but I did meet up with two of my friends after the reunion.  We saw almost everyone in downtown Roswell.  It was so much fun!
Overall Teddy has done great so far sleeping in his room.  Occasionally he still wants to come into our bed, and we send him back to his room.  One night, Shae took him back to bed.  This is what I found in the morning:
Tummy time:
Another favorite little outfit that was once Teddy's:
Teddy always picks out his own pj's.  There were some 18 month onsies I never moved out of his pj drawer.  Check out what Teddy chose to sleep in one night:

Not sure if he was inspired by the olympic gymnasts we watched or if he wanted to be more like Leo in his onsies, but he was hilarious in the tight onsie:
Ahh.. when Teddy wore this onsie he had a long sleeved t-shirt and warm pants with it!
Cheese:
We were scared to take Teddy anywhere when he was a newborn.  It was flu season, cold outside, and we were brand new parents.  Well, things are a bit different this time around.  Leo's first meal out- at Moes:
Brothers just hanging out:
Funny Teddy:
Grandma Susie sent Teddy a package full of neat clothes.  Here he is in the "Home Run" shirt.  He loves it:
My baseball boys (Teddy modeling another shirt from Grandma Suzie):
Pooh bear wanted to swing (at least someone is using the swing around here):
Football season is here:
Our littlest Hawkeye:
Teddy and my beautiful flowers from Shae:
Watching football is so much more fun when you get to cuddle a baby at the same time:
(above) Angie and Earnest got to meet Leo!
Playground time with two:
Aunt Jen, Uncle Hal, and Violet went with us to Roswell's "End of Summer" festival.  Teddy and Violet are so cute together:

Here they are about to give their tickets to go in the cool bouncy thing:
almost in...
nope.  Right after that picture they were both reduced to tears and decided they didn't want to go inside.  So they thought they would try the big slide:
but only Violet came down.  Teddy is cautious like his parents and decided not to try the big slide quite yet.  But he WAS all about the dance contest.  While Violet and our neighbors danced way in the back, check out who was right up front, next to the stage:
We stayed for the fireworks and Leo didn't seem too bothered by them:
Like I mentioned, Shae has helped out  tremendously with the chores and with Teddy.  Often at the same time:
Boys vaccuuming.  Be still my heart.
Boys working on the front deck repairs:
I went to my first MOMS activity as a mother of two.  We went to the spray park, then enjoyed ice cream and the playground.  Thankfully the other moms  helped me out and it went really smoothly.  Here is Teddy happy to be hanging out with his friends again:
Leo enjoyed the activity too:
